12-Days Chimpanzees, Gorilla, Lion and cultural Expedition
Day 1: Murchison Falls National Park
Start this day early with a good breakfast and then make your way out of Entebbe for about 3-4 hours to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Spend some time with the Rhinos before making your way to Murchison Falls National Park. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Fort Murchison.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
Today you will go on a beautiful morning game drive in the northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Enjoy seeing a variety of game before driving back to the lodge in time for lunch. You will then go on a beautiful boat safari to see the water animals and the bottom of the falls then hike to the top of the falls and take in the sites of Uhuru and Murchison falls before driving back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Kibale Forest National Park
You will have an early start and a hearty breakfast today before making your way to Kibale National park. This is a long journey on marram road, so you will stop to talk to the locals, take pictures and have a refreshing lunch. You will take a tour of a local town and then stop at a massive tea estate before driving to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4: Kibale Forest National Park
You will start the day early with breakfast before making your way to the briefing center in preparation for your chimpanzee trek in the rainforest. The length of this activity will depend on how quickly you locate the chimps, at which point then you will have one hour or more to spend in their presence. Later you will go back to the lodge and then later go out for a community walk and different farming practices before driving back to the lodge.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast at the primate lodge you will check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way you will stop and take in the sights of the beautiful crater lakes and banana (matoke) plantations, which provide a vital food source for most Ugandans. Later you will stop at the equator and then continue into the park for lunch. In the afternoon you will go on a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, seeing different species of game in the water and soaking in this amazing experience! Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Bush lodge.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Eat breakfast early in the morning and then go on an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi area. You will also visit a salt lake that is still being mined by locals in the area. After this morning activity you will drive back to the lodge for lunch and then relax before going on an evening game drive. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Bush Lodge.

Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After a late breakfast you will embark on your longest journey on this safari so far. The magnificent, hilly areas of this region are known as the “Switzerland of Uganda”. You will stop along the way to talk with locals about their farming practices. You will then make your way into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and the Rushaga Gorilla Camp, where you will spend the night.

Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This is your long awaited day for gorilla tracking! Start your morning with breakfast and then drive for five minutes to the briefing center. At the center you will be prepared for the difficult but rewarding activity of hiking to see the great mountain gorillas. They will teach you about the do’s and don’ts of interacting with the great apes. Depending on where the gorillas are located, you may spend the whole day in the forest. After this extraordinary activity you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 9: Drive to Nshenyi cultural village
This beautiful day, we shall have a warm breakfast, then we proceed to one of our exciting destination where we will have a cultural experience of the banyankole people, you will be able to have a unique experience of a cattle keepers and cultivators, be a relaxing day and to just enjoy and relax at the lodge, after an amazing gorilla experience, you will either choose to visit the local communities or just spend time at the very cozy and breath taking scenery in this beautiful place bordering the forest with the lodge.

Day 10: Nshenyi cultural village
At this beautiful early morning, we shall have morning coffee, the proceed to the cattle keeping side, where we will participate in the milking of the long horned ankole cattle, after you send them for grazing, then will also participate in the process of making butter (gee) in the traditional and also get to know how cattle keepers survived on milk, blood and meat of the cattle. We will have breakfast, relax and then proceed to the bee keeping farmers, also have sight of the pottery made by the Batwa individuals. We shall have lunch at nshenyi cultural village and rest. In the evening we can have a nature work or visit mirama hills where we border with Rwanda. We will have dinner accompanied by the ankole cultural dance.

Day 11: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
With memories of your cultural experience on your mind, make your way to Lake Mburo National Park for another exciting safari day. You will leave early after breakfast and stop for lunch before making your way to the lodge, stopping for some wildlife watching along the way. Check in at the lodge and have dinner before going on a nighttime safari, which is usually exceptional!

Day 12: Entebbe
This is the last day of our beautiful safari. Start with an early morning breakfast and then go on a game walk to see zebras, impalas and other wildlife up close. You will then make your way back to Entebbe, stopping at the equator along the way for a water demonstration.
